Love the Dexter in Elk Rapids. Fantastic location. Communication is great (all done through text). Accommodations are beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our go-to hotel when in the area.
Located near Lake Michigan beaches. Lots of shopping and restaurants near by. Check in was easy. Little extras were included like quality shampoos and soaps, water and chips. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved the Elk Rapids town, it is very quaint with everything that is needed to be comfortable within walking distance from the hotel. A-GA-Ming golf course is 8 miles away (15min drive) The Dexter was clean, nice and comfortable. We bought the suite which had two bathrooms, a living area and a comfortable king sized bed. The unit had a coffee machine (bring your k cups), a microwave and a refrigerator. We will definitely stay here again.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked knowing there wouldn’t be someone on site 24/7 but it was a great experience! Our room was perfect, bathroom supplies too notch, very comfortable bed and nice towels and linens. There is a bar open some evenings and the bartender was very personable and fun to chat with others staying at The Dexter. It was so conveniently located in town and easy to get around. I would absolutely stay again when looking for a place in that area.
Great experience. The virtual check in and check out were a plus for me. Options for staying in Elk Rapids are extremely limited so this new hotel is a great addition to the small village. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and stocked with everything.
This is a hidden gem! I was not expecting to have such a peaceful scenery when I got here, but it's incredible. The property is surrounded by the lake, and birds are singing around the trees. It's so beautiful! I had a great sunset/lake view from my room. The property was super easy to access as Kasa sends you a text and an email with your own personal access codes. The unit was super clean and the bed feels comfy. The property is brand new and everything looks well cared for. There are sitting tables outside if you want to enjoy. I have finally found my relaxing place! Keep in mind that ubering is difficult in the area, so best to be prepared by driving or renting a car (property offers parking on a first come first serve basis)
We had a great stay here at the Dexter! The bed was comfy, bathroom was nice and clean, and the room was quiet. Even the setup/design of the room was really functional. Would definitely recommend!
We liked the location of the Dexter. The room was very clean & quiet. The bathtub area was very slippery & would benefit from grab bars for better safety. The front desk was usually staffed when we were coming or going. Staff were pleasant & helpful.
